Our friends at Statista have broken out the income, revenue growth and stock performance of some Internet and tech heavyweights. While Apple and Samsung blow the competition away in terms of net income, LinkedIn is the golden child in terms of year-over-year growth, with a whopping 89% revenue increase.

Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy declared a national moment of silence to honor the victims of last Friday's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, which will be observed at 9:30 a.m. EST Friday.
It didn't take long for an online-specific campaign -- Web Goes Silent -- to spring up. The web effort calls for a five-minute pause from online activity. While Web Goes Silent hopes you won't tweet, post on Facebook or check your email, it's using the hashtag #momentforsandyhook to build support in advance.
More than 100,000 people have already pledged to participate on Causes.com, including Britney Spears, Suze Orman, Sean Parker and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.
